Needed Salvation Now—A World Wanting Wellness
Anyone who’s been to a sports game knows John 3:16: “For God so loved the world that he gave his only Son, so that everyone who believes in him may not perish but may have eternal life.” Lesser known is John 3:17, which states: “Indeed, God did not send the Son into the world to condemn the world but in order that the world might be saved (σωθῇ sōth, from the root soteria) through him.” In this session, we’ll explore John’s commitment to service, how we as Christians see the needs of a hurting world, and how because Jesus is the bringer of salvation, we are compelled to follow Jesus into the need now.
