When God’s people are afraid, it doesn’t mean we are outside of faith. “Fear not” appears frequently in the Bible, in a way that is comforting. Knowing God is with us, we can face our fears. As we enter the season of Advent, this devotional by the Rev. Katie Hines-Shah, pastor of Redeemer Lutheran Church in Hinsdale, Illinois, will help us begin to see that the Christmas story is also the story of life in faith.

How can I access the digital edition of Fear Not? I am a subscriber.
You need to be a subscriber in order to access the digital edition. Print subscriptions offer free access to the digital edition, or you can purchase a digital only subscription.
I’m interested in downloading the Fear Not: Advent/Christmas Devotional, but cannot see a way to download it. Can you help me please? I’d like to include this info in a newsletter to the women in our church (through our WELCA newsletter), but can’t see a way to check it out.
Thank you for your help.
Hi, Cheryl,
This devotional is available in the December 2018 issue of Gather. There is no downloadable version. Subscribers can access it using the digital edition or in their hard copy issue when it mails to homes in November.
