I agree it’s difficult to cover a whole book in a 3 or 4 session study. I’m leaning more towards a topic relevant to today’s issues that is supported by what scripture teaches, especially what Jesus teaches.
Sometimes it is difficult to cover all of the Bible Study in one hour. Help us leaders to not be overwhelmed by a long study. We want to do the study well, and we want more leaders to emerge.
I agree as well. Our group meets at 9:00 and starts with 30 minutes of fellowship and prayer. The study usually takes an hour and a half, and we don’t always finish, but some have to leave at 10:30. They miss the end. I would like to save the last half hour for more in-depth discussion or questions. Sometimes, the study is so full, it would work as a weekly study.
We are enjoying the Gather study by Mark Powell. Evokes good discussion and helps that it doesn’t take so much time to prepare and easy to lead.
The cross references in The Psalms and New Testament Gospels.
Thank you for all of these great suggestions, everyone. They are very helpful!

In today’s world we need to inhale and exhale more about LOVE. James would be a good start.
We are loving Mark Powells study. . . Encourages interaction and thought provoking changes in our interpretations.
THANKS for making the magazine a quick read — once I start with the first article, I read until I’m done.
Poetry would be interesting plus the Gospels provide insight into Jesus’ life and how we can relate.
There’s is a lot of history in the Old Testament that doesn’t get addressed…Chronicles and Kings would be interesting…

Our women also think the Bible Studies are long. We have our meetings in the evening and would like to keep them to a one hour length.
