Gather is excited to share that Sara Olson-Smith, author of the fall 2021 Bible study, “The gift of the Holy Spirit” has created a series of videos to accompany the study. Here is the video companion to session three, “Wind of God, refining and rerouting.”

Thank you Sarah! I feel the spirit came to me yesterday. I lost my first husband and good friend in a car accident. I was only married to my first husband for 11 days. With Reformation this last Sunday. I really felt my first husband being with me. Now I know it was the Holy Spirit. I cried from the loss of Duane and Eugene. I still love Duane, but also love my husband now. Is that okay that I still love Duane? I am not able to go to Bible Study,. because I have had two major surgerys the past two years. I still cannot drive yet and still healing, because I now need caterack surgery. Once I do drive I can only drive locally. Sorry this is so long, but I feel it was the Holy Spirit that allowed me to feel Duane was with me.
The speaker draws from the images of her Iowa environment to make real the images of the Holy Spirit. Thank you for this message. It is such an uplift to face the day. I am here in Northern California focused on climate, drought, and hopefully some rain. This message of change for the better we all need to heed.
Thank you, Sara for making the Bible study come alive. Romans 8:26-27 is a favorite and comforting reading for me. To think that the Spirit intercedes for me when I do not know how to pray as I ought. Loved all of your lessons!
I enjoyed this 3 part series study of the Holy Spirit and especially the layout of the leader guide to fit the length of time that groups might spend on the study.
